Day 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa
After your breakfast in your hotel we will depart from Cusco at around 5:00 am going through the towns which are Limatamabo, Izcuchaca, Mollepata arriving at approximately 7:00 am and we have our breakfast, then begin our adventure with everything organized, after 4 hours walking we will have time for lunch, continuing our walk until the last villages which is Soraypampa where we will have our first night camping.
Day 2: Soraypampa – Collpapampa – Chaullay
After our breakfast at around 8:00 am we will continue our trek toward the highest point of our trek which is at 4650 m.a.s.l. going through the same valley Collpapampa where after 4 hours walking we finally take our lunch time, then resume the trek now entering a landscape of eyebrow appreciating forest formations along this stretch of the rivers which are then converted into tributaries of the Urubamba River, along this stretch we will see several varieties of orchids and different waterfalls of great magnitude and also in this day we will see the majestic Salkantay pick after a long walk we arrive to our campsite.
Day 3: Collpapampa – Playa
After breakfast will be a spectacular day to descend through cloud forest, where vegetation is developed haphazardly, this is the place to see different species such as orchids, bromeliads and some other more, we will visit some families to see how do they live in Wiñaypoco and will be the place to camp, all this hike will be around 5 hours, also during the day you need to use mosquitos repellent.
Day 4: Beach – Llactapata – Machu Picchu
After breakfast early in the morning we will take the road of the arqueological complex of Llacatapata which is located at 2650 m.a.s.l, this citadel is still trapped by vegetation, we also have a great view of the Machu Picchu mountain then we will descend to Hydroelectric at 1950 m.a.s.l, where we will take the train to enter to Aguas Calientes, we spend a night there because the next day we will visit the citadel.
Day 5: Machu Picchu – Cusco
In the morning around 5:00 am, we ascend to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu where we will have a guided tour of approximately 3 hours, then the rest of the day will be free and you can explore by yourself, in the afternoon we take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then to Cusco by bus, we will transfer to your hotel required.
